For this assignment, we became designers for Christian Dior and were instructed to create their next evening wear collection with our own unique inspiration and brand in mind. To do this, we had to research the history of Dior evening wear and get a feel for their overall aesthetic in order to create accurate designs. We had to create five unique looks accompanied by the flats of each garment. The croquis and illustration style had to be fitting for the brand but also for evening wear (i.e. not casual, avant-garde, etc.)

For my unique inspiration, I chose the secretary bird. I thought they were silly but they also radiate a sort of elegance I knew I could draw from for my designs. I utilized their beautiful feathers, long legs, and captivating eyes/eyelashes to my advantage in creating these designs and my illustration style which were all fitting for a Christian Dior Evening Collection.
